This course provides detailed information concerning federal fair housing laws as well as the New Jersey Fair Housing Act and New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. This course describes the 7 federally protected classes including race, color, religion, national origin, sex, handicap, and familial status, and then analyzes New Jersey state laws to identify differences between state and federal regulations. This course is designed to teach real estate licensees to treat all clients equally and understand the importance of Fair Housing laws and the need for their enforcement. The course examines important case studies and legislation regarding fair housing and equal opportunity.
