Minnesota Real Estate
CE Requirements

Hours of CE Classes Required:

30 unique CE hours every 2 years

At least 15 hours must be completed each year by June 30th as follows:
11.25 hrs Electives
3.75 hrs Minnesota Core Module

The 30 hours must also include 1 hr of Fair Housing and 1 hour of Agency Laws, although these topics are sometimes covered by the Required Modules. Per MN law, Minnesota licensees cannot take the same electives during each 2 year period. Be sure to alternate between Package #1 and Package #2 each year so you do not repeat the same electives during each 2 yr period. If it is your 1st time renewing, your have until your 1st renewal deadline to complete all 30 hours of CE and you only need to complete the 1 Required Module that is due at your renewal time.

Maximum CE hours allowed per day:

Minnesota limits the number of CE hours you may take each day to 8 hours/day

Quiz Requirements:

Minnesota requires an exam at the end of each section, as well as a final exam. Section exams have 5 questions and the final exam has 20 questions. You must score 70% to pass. If you score less than 70%, you can re-take the exam an unlimited number of times. In accordance with Minnesota law, you may not go back and review course material once you have started the final exam.

After Completing Courses:

Immediately after finishing a course, you can view or print your Course Completion Certificate directly from the website by clicking on MY CLASSES. At least once per week, Training Cove® reports completion data to the Minnesota Department of Commerce. During the last week of June, we will be uploading your course completions to the state every day (for courses completed during the previous day).

To view your course completions, go to Pulse Portal. Be sure you are viewing the "Current Period", selecting your correct license type, and viewing ALL pages of the CE transcripts. If your license is inactive, your CE credits will not show up online and you must contact MN Dept. of Commerce. For additional help with Pulse Portal, contact PearsonVue at 866-274-4756.
