CE Requirements

Hours of CE Classes Required:

24 hrs every 2 years (9 core including 3 fair housing, 15 elective).

Licenses must be renewed by April 30th of even numbered years (if license was issued before Jan 1, 2020)
OR every 2 years on the anniversary of the date the license was issued (if license was issued after Jan 1, 2020)

Maximum CE hours allowed per day:

Rhode Island does not limit the number of CE classes you can take each day.

Quiz Requirements:

Although Rhode Island has no specific requirements for quizzes, we provide a short 5 question quiz at the end of each section plus a 20 question final exam to help improve your learning. You must score 70% to pass each quiz. If you score less than 70%, you can re-take the quiz an unlimited number of times.

After Completing Courses:

Immediately after finishing a course, you can view or print your Course Completion Certificate directly from the website by clicking on MY CLASSES. Then use the state's online licensing system to report your CE classes and renew your license.
